To assist the Head of Sound & Head of Stage as directed - regarding the operation and maintenance of all sound and automation equipment, and the Technical Stage Manager as directed in regard to the running of the show & the Head Of Stage as directed regarding the rigging & carpentry work required.

Job Title Technical Swing (With Rigging & Carpentry Experience)

The Production

Life of Pi is a 5-time Olivier Award-winning play setting off on a four-month tour across mainland China, Macau & Tawain. The production has just come to the end of its first experience of international touring by travelling to Toronto, Abu Dhabi & Mumbai. The production has been praised for its on-stage diversity, skilled puppetry work and complex use of Video and Automation. The play tells the story of a teenager marooned on a lifeboat with a variety of animals (including a Bengal tiger). It is adapted from Yann Martel's celebrated novel by Lolita Chakrabarti, with direction by Max Webster, Set and Costume Design by Tim Hatley and Puppet and Movement Direction by Finn Caldwell.

Purpose of Job

To assist the Head of Sound & Head of Stage as directed - regarding the operation and maintenance of all sound and automation equipment, and the Technical Stage Manager as directed in regard to the running of the show & the Head Of Stage as directed regarding the rigging & carpentry work required on the set. We are open to providing specific training and familiarisation for suitable and motivated candidates.
