Description:Job SummaryZ-arts and Half Moon theatre are looking for a technical stage manager for the upcoming national tour of the award winning show 'Grandad Anansi' Job Description Grandad Anansi Tour Stage Manager Call Out Z-arts and Half Moon Theatre are recruiting a technical stage manager for the upcoming re-tour of the award winning children's show 'Grandad Anansi'. Project Dates: Pre-rehearsal week: W/C Monday 8th September 2025 Rehearsal week 1: W/C Monday 15th September 2025 Rehearsal week 2: W/C Monday 22nd September 2025 Tech/Production week (at Z-arts): W/C Monday 29th September 2025 Touring Period: W/C Monday 6th October 2025 - W/C Monday 16th November 2025 Final return to storage: Monday 27th November 2025 Fee: The total fee for this role is £6,640. The breakdown of this is as follows: Rehearsal Period: £2,530 3 weeks @£660 per week + 5 additional days @ £110 per day Touring Period: £3,960 6 weeks @£660 per week Mental Health First Aid Training Days: £150 (Please note this excludes per-diems and additional allowances.) The Role: Your responsibilities would be central to the smooth running of the tour. This will involve driving the van with the set, providing technical support during get-ins and get-outs, and offering general production support. Technically operating the shows. Additionally, there will be an element of wellbeing support and pastoral care for the team while on tour. Prior to starting the project, you would attend and complete a Mental Health First Aid training course, which would be booked and paid for by Z-arts/Half Moon. Job Requirements Requirements of the Role: Experience of touring children and family work, both traditional theatre spaces and non-traditional theatre space (community halls, libraries, schools, etc...). Experience of technically operating shows. Running get-ins and get-outs, packing and driving a van with the set, props and costume (full drivers license needed). Experience and a strong understanding of providing pastoral and wellbeing support. Attend and complete a Mental Health First Aid training course. We would pay and book the course for you, you just need to attend it. Available for 10 weeks between 8 September and 16 November, plus an extra day w/c 17 November (specific Dates can be shared upon request).
