Carnival Corporation is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Audio, Video, Lighting, Control and Theatrical Automation projects across our fleet of world-class cruise ships.In this pivotal role, you will ensure that every AVLX project—from concept to installation—elevates our guests’ onboard experience. You’ll be responsible for coordinating technical solutions, maintaining budgets and timelines, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Responsibilities Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and scope for AVLX systems across various entertainment venues on cruise ships. Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to ensure proposed AVLX solutions align with project goals and budget constraints. Project Execution and Management Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for AVLX projects, and ensure adherence to established schedules and financial constraints. Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors to procure necessary AVLX equipment and services. Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and implement changes as necessary to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct quality control assessments to guarantee that AVLX systems meet industry standards and guest experience expectations Act as the primary point of contact for AVLX projects, maintaining clear and effective communication with stakeholders, project teams, and senior management. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure transparency and alignment with organizational goals. Ensure AVLX systems comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and cruise industry guidelines. Collaborate with relevant departments to conduct safety assessments and implement necessary modifications to AVLX systems to guarantee guest and staff safety Create comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, manuals, and training materials for AVLX systems. Generate detailed project reports, outlining key performance metrics, lessons learned, and recommendations for future AVLX projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Entertainment Technology, or related field – or equivalent work experience in Technical Project Management; PMP certification is a plus. Minimum three years’ experience managing AVLX/Technical Entertainment Projects. Proven experience in managing AVLX projects within the cruise industry or similar complex environments. In-depth knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and control systems used in entertainment venues. Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop detailed project plans and manage budgets effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project requirements. Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
