Description:Responsible for the management of all aspects of the technical function for Scunthorpe Theatres, including the technical delivery of the venues’ programme of events, ensuring the highest quality technical support, and responsibility for the Health & Safety aspects of running technical operations.Job Description We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic person to join our team, to manage the Technical department for Scunthorpe Theatres. Working on high-profile music, comedy and entertainment events, as well as conferences and other community events, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of the venues' programme. You will ensure the highest quality technical support for our visiting companies and have responsibility for the Health & Safety aspects of running technical operations at the venues. Job Requirements You will have experience of leading the technical department of a professional performance venue, or similar, and a thorough knowledge of all aspects of theatre technical delivery and equipment, and an excellent knowledge of H&S practice. Job Responsibilities To provide management for the technical department, and the technical delivery of Scunthorpe Theatres' programmes, ensuring at all times that the high standards expected at the venues are maintained. To offer creative and informed input to the presentation of events at Scunthorpe Theatres; using an up-to-date knowledge and experience of new technologies and techniques to provide solutions to technical problems. Assist with show planning, sourcing the resources necessary to professionally deliver all elements of the production in a safe, cost-efficient and timely fashion, and within the budgets specified. To liaise with all visiting companies, providing technical support and resources including light, sound, AV and staffing for their events, scheduling and allocating all technical staff and resources.
