Description:
The Arc-en-Ciel Cultural Center – Rungis Theater is a public institution that manages the theater and cultural center of the city of Rungis. It has two theaters (400 and 70 seats) and a rehearsal room.
The team, composed of 16 permanent staff, designs and organizes a multidisciplinary program combining theater, circus, dance, and music.
With the support of the city of Rungis, the Val-de-Marne department, the region, and the DRAC Île-de-France, the Rungis Theater implements a project combining the dissemination of works to a wide audience (45 shows per season), the support of creative teams (12 weeks of creative residency, 6 co-productions per year), and a solid program of cultural activities.
The Rungis Theatre is a member of the Group of 20 Theatres in Île-de-France, CirquEvolution, Territoires de cirque, Arviva, and the National Committee of the EPCC. It is a partner of the Festival d'Automne, the Biennale de Danse du Val-de-Marne, the Théâtrales Charles Dullin, and the Festival de Marne.
Finally, since 2020, the theatre has been developing an eco-responsible action plan.
Job Description
Under the authority of the director of the EPIC and in close collaboration with the general secretary and the administrator, the technical director manages all permanent and temporary technical staff. He or she is in particular in charge of supervising the technical operations related to the shows and the building in compliance with the allocated budgets:
Live performance & other activities
• Organization, coordination and technical monitoring of creations, hosted shows (including 8 outside the walls per season) and conferences, workshops and exhibitions, the cultural activities program as well as associative and school shows,
• Management of the maintenance of stage equipment
• Production of activity reports
• Technical and technological monitoring and strength of proposals
• Participation in management meetings for the general management of the
Building & security project
• Responsibility for the security service, the maintenance service of the building and its equipment
• Monitoring of the maintenance of the building carried out by the city services
• Monitoring of the application of all safety, prevention and hygiene rules relating to the public and staff
• Design and monitoring of public procurement files relating to the various technical equipment and materials within the framework of the budgets concerned
• Steering the transition to LED lighting for the entire building as part of a plan multi-year investment (2026-2030)
Supervision
• Management of all permanent, seconded and intermittent technical staff (3.13 FTE on fixed-term contracts)
• Management of relations with technical suppliers (IT maintenance, telephony, etc.)
