About Off-Beat Players

Off-Beat Players is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, inclusive theatre company for teens and young adults with and without disabilities. Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, the organization is dedicated to creating fully inclusive theatrical experiences that bring together performers and production staff of all abilities in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Through musical theatre performance, Off-Beat Players fosters artistic growth, confidence, and community, ensuring that all participants have meaningful opportunities to engage both onstage and behind the scenes. Grounded in the belief that access to creative expression should be universal, Off-Beat Players promotes the transformative power of inclusive theatre.

Technical Director

Responsibilities:

Work cooperatively with the Artistic Director to develop an artistic vision for the production.

Work collaboratively with the Artistic Director, Choreographer and Musical Director to organize rehearsals.

Work cooperatively with Set Designers, Sound and Lighting Designers.

Manage and oversee set crew responsibilities and coordinate volunteer schedules with set crew volunteers.

Evaluate the need for set design materials and communicate these needs to the Artistic Director.

Work directly with Set Designer and Sound/Lighting Designer to coordinate and schedule technical rehearsals.

Assist with production projects including the following: prop design completion, set design completion, backstage organization.

Work cooperatively with the Stage Manager to identify volunteers for the stage crew.

Work cooperatively with the Stage Manager to create an efficient plan for the stage crew to follow during set changes.
