ARCHAOS Pôle National Cirque, established in Marseille since 2001, is developing a project to support the creation, dissemination and practice of Circus Arts. The association is one of the 14 structures labeled by the Ministry of Culture to support the creation, dissemination and awareness of contemporary circus in France.
Archaos created and directs the International Circus Arts Biennial Marseille Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (BIAC) and the Entre2 BIAC. The sixth edition of the BIAC takes place from January 9 to February 9, 2025.
Archaos offers activities throughout the year accessible to the public, amateurs and professionals in the sector, to practice, train, discover, experiment and experience Circus Arts in its 1200 m2 venue located in the northern districts of Marseille.
Job Description
MAIN MISSIONS:
Under the authority of the management, and in collaboration with the other departments of the pole, the technical director is responsible for the general supervision of the technical activities of the pole, the constitution and supervision of the intermittent technical team, the development and monitoring of technical budgets in collaboration with the administration, the maintenance of buildings and equipment in working order, compliance with regulations in terms of hygiene, safety, security and risk prevention.

- Organization and technical supervision of public performances, shows, and all activities.
General management of the reception activities of artistic teams, preparation of residencies and shows in diffusion and other activities, with analysis of technical sheets and feasibility study, budgeting, technical adaptations, determination of personnel needs, recruitment and management of receptions.

- Working order:
Responsible for the working order of buildings and the various equipment and systems equipping them. Organizes the maintenance and maintenance of compliance of the whole. Is a force for proposals for improvements, investments. Organizes and supervises work and maintenance as well as periodic checks. Manages the pooling of equipment.

- Application of regulations, risk prevention:
Is responsible for the work of the teams in compliance with the labor code. Is responsible for the safety of people, workers / spectators / participants or the public, in our activities. Knows and applies the ERP regulations.
Enforces and develops the DUER (single risk assessment document) participates in the development of the internal regulations. Is the contact for the various administrations for obtaining the authorizations necessary for the implementation of activities. Ensures technical and regulatory monitoring in his field of mission.

- BIAC Festival and Entre 2 BIAC:
Technical director of the two festivals, manages the preparation and operation of events:
Prepares technical files, administrative requests, studies feasibility. Manages technical staff (recruitment, supervision, planning). Produces the implementation plans necessary for the integration of infrastructures on site. Liaises with the technical teams of the hosted companies. Develops and monitors the technical budget. Develops and supervises equipment loan partnerships.

Description of the profile sought
REQUIRED PROFILE:

- Know-how:
Technical director training or significant experience required.
Mastery of office automation and CAD tools.
Knowledge of the regulations governing live entertainment

Would be a plus: (training possible)
Electrical authorization
Engine and bridge operation,
Knowledge of the circus, apparatus and big tops

- Soft skills:
Rigor and organizational skills
Aptitude for supervision
Ability to take initiative and anticipate, adapt and react.
