Organization Description
Built in five months between Paris and Montmartre on the initiative of Marguerite Brunet, La Montansier, the Théâtre des Variétés opened on June 24, 1807.
Directed by the architect Célerier, the work was organized by "La Mademoiselle" which brought everything Paris at the inauguration with the play Le Panorama de Momus, vaudeville by Mr. Marc-Antoine Désaugiers.
The continual successes of the Variétés are not to everyone's taste and the threats are so violent that the imperial administration threatens to close the room. La Montansier died on July 13, 1820 at the age of 90.
The actor Mira Brunet took over the management of the Variétés and kept his place until the days of July 1830, when François-Victor-Armand Dartois took over the reins of the Theatre. He will not succeed in restoring the coat of arms of the Variétés opening a period of instability until the arrival of Hippolyte Cogniard in 1855. of verses. The Theater welcomes Jacques Offenbach and his Belle Hélène. The success is considerable. The author wrote new plays which did not go unnoticed despite Cogniard's departure in 1869 for Eugène Bertrand.
The operettas follow one another, M.-F. Samuel takes the direction of the room of the boulevard Montmartre in 1892. The interwar period is prosperous with more than 70 shows led by the director Max Maurey. Raimu and the plays of Marcel Pagnol are the delight of the Theatre. Les Variétés are open to all forms of live performance, see great singers, actors or dancers evolve successfully on the stage: Fernand Raynaud, Louis de Funès, Raymond Devos, ... Directed today by Mr. Jean- Manuel BAJEN, the Théâtre des Variétés remains one of the greatest Parisian theaters and celebrated its 215th anniversary last June.
Job Description
The Théâtre des Variétés team is looking for its future TECHNICAL DIRECTOR. He/She will ensure:
- the coordination and management of the technical teams
- the reception and the logistical coordination of productions and external events,
- the diagnosis of the constraints and conditions of equipment as well as the maintenance of the equipment and the room,
- the management/development of projects/technical solutions in response to security requirements,
- the design of layout plans, etc.
Description of the profile sought
Autonomous person and force of proposal, versatile and rigorous, endowed with a positive attitude and a great capacity for adaptation, having a taste for teamwork and solid knowledge of electricity, light, sound and video.
He/She must be able to:
- Create a link between the Theater teams (administrative, event, reception, communication and artistic services, etc.) and the technical team
- Understand/anticipate set-ups and receptions outdoor shows and productions.
- Plan and optimize the human resources (permanent and intermittent) and the equipment necessary for the technical organization and the reception of the artistic teams, by managing the alternations with respect for everyone.
- Monitor the maintenance of the building entrusted to service providers.
- Master the legislation and regulations (social, preventive, security: Ex. Fire and ERP)
A minimum of 5 years' experience is required in a similar position to embrace all the responsibilities of this position. Solid electrical knowledge, as well as significant experience in sound and light.
