Description:SummaryThe University of Washington School of Drama (SoD) is hiring a full-time Technical Director and Scene Shop Manager. The salary range is $5,946 - $7,400 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We are interested in candidates that possess expertise in technical theater, a passion for engaging with students, strong organizational and management skills, and a commitment to fostering equity and inclusion within the theater community. Requirements Minimum qualifications: 1) a Bachelor’s degree in theater, technical theater, or related field and 2) two or more years of experience in live event production, including knowledge related to scenery, props, and theatrical rigging. Additional positive factors for consideration include: 1) knowledge related to lighting, sound, projections, and/or costumes, 2) advanced proficiency in CAD, 3) prior experience within an academic institution, and 4) eagerness to engage in the goals and values presented in the School of Drama’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Commitments.
