Description:
CircEsteem is looking for new circus coaches to add to its roster of incredible teaching artists. As CircEsteem grows its programming, we are constantly developing new opportunities for youth circus coaches, whether it be for our outreach classes in schools throughout the city or for our in-house programs which take place at our headquarters in Uptown, or for private events, workshops and parties.
Requirements
- Chicago residents only
- Demonstrated experience in coaching youth
- Knowledge and ability to teach multiple Circus skills at a basic level
- High skill level in teaching at least one Circus genre
- Ability to lead a classroom of 10 beginner to intermediate students in the age range of 5-17
- Ability to relate to and motivate both students and staff
- Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skill
- Eagerness to adapt teaching style to uphold CircEsteem's mission as a Social Circus (as opposed to a recreational circus)
- Valid Drivers License
Hourly coaching rate commensurate with experience. No full time positions are directly available at this time and we are looking for individuals with flexible schedules as offers come on an individual class by class basis.
