Since 1988 , the Outremont Dance Academy – ADO creation, a non-profit dance company, has the mission to democratize dance and the performing arts, to make the art of movement accessible to all through the expression of the body. Through professional cultural actions, the ADO seeks to bring to life visual and/or physical experiences of bodies moving in a space! The ADO has 3 components: cultural, academic and community. The latter includes recreational and professional training programs in dance and related activities, based on the pedagogical, somatic and artistic principles of training. Teaching and creation are offered for all ages, all levels and involve several styles of classes or workshops. The ADO studio is located in the Intergenerational Community Center, within walking distance of the Acadie metro (Outremont metro being under renovation). During this period of great upheaval, due to the waves of Covid-19, classes can sometimes be held remotely via the Zoom and/or Teams platform. We are always looking for teachers, trainers, substitutes in dance, movement, related activities in living art:ballet, hip hop, modern jazz, Pilates, integrated dance, dance for seniors, parent-child dance, Zumba, Troupe for teenagers .
