Description:The Cirque du Soleil Casting team is seeking professional synchronized swimmers for future opportunities!*** APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 26th, 2023 *** Requirements and Qualifications: * Minimum age - 18 years old; * Background in high-level synchronized swimming (National or International competitive experience); * Powerful in delivery and performance quality; * Ability to pick up choreography; * Ability to perform consistently and sustain 10 shows per week. Interested and qualified candidates must apply online and submit all of the following: * A current resumé; * A current headshot; * 1min video presentation of yourself; * A current demo reel and/or recent performance, please include the following: *Presentation to camera (full body shot); mention experience and any other disciplines practiced; *Flexibility - three splits plus over splits, bridge with feet together and straight legs, shoulder flexibility, pike position; *5x 1 Back Dive alternated to 1 Body Boost without pause. Start with two hands on the edge of the pool, push the whole body out of the water, bring out both feet at the same time in tuck position, and execute a back dive, legs extended. Alternate this with a Double arm boost maximum high. Repeat this sequence five times without stopping *4x 20” Egg Beater max height on place alternated to 10” sculling without pause: *Sculling # 1 and 2: Vertical Position *Sculling # 3: Right Crane Position *Sculling # 4: Left Heron Position *Combined Ballet Leg (Solo and Double, alternate for 20 seconds); *Rocket Split - a thrust to a Vertical Position followed by two rapid alternating airborne split positions, followed by a join to a vertical position with maximum height. A vertical descent is then executed; *Recent images of Solo, Duo, Team competition. Indicate your starting position in the video and state the date; *Dance improvisation. Any type of dance – use the space and your imagination; *Demonstrate skills in any other discipline; *Demonstrate strength – optional (Chin Ups, Leg Squats, Rope Climb).
