Description:Disney Live Entertainment is seeking SAXOPHONE, UPRIGHT BASS, and DRUMMER musicians to perform in Five & Dime, a high-energy musical group ("Five") fronted by a female vocalist ("Dime") with the vocal stylings of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. Together, they will play and swing to popular standards of the '20s and '30s while interacting with park Guests at the Disneyland Resort® in Anaheim, CA.SEEKING: Seeking vibrant, energetic, and engaging Musicians from a diverse spectrum of musical and cultural backgrounds to join our dynamic ensemble. These performances will demand a passion for providing the highest quality entertainment and bringing fantasy and fun to resort guests. ROLES: ZOOT – Tenor Saxophone: strong performer, improvisational jazz experience required. SLAM – Upright Bass: strong performer, improvisational jazz experience required. BABY – Drummer: strong performer, drumming primarily on a snare and cymbal setup. Improvisational jazz experience required. All musicians employed for these positions are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with American Federation of Musicians Local 7, Orange County (AFM). All those auditioning for the roles below must be eligible and willing to join AFM or be a member in good standing. RATE: The pay rate for this role is $45.02 per hour. Roles are defined in the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) Collective Bargaining Agreement (Disneyland Resort and Orange County Musicians’ Union, Local No.7). REQUIREMENTS: · Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States. · Must be willing to comply with all Disney grooming guidelines and employment standards. · MUST be available for in-person audition on December 10 in Santa Ana, CA SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: This is a 2-step process.
