JOB SUMMARY:
Create beautiful memories for Holiday In The Park as a Christmas character! Makeup and costume is provided by our team. Interested applicants must be comfortable with heights up to 48”, and be able to work in crowds, heat, and cold for 45-minute intervals.
This is a short-term position for a specific special event and period.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing as a stilt performer meeting, greeting, and entertaining our park guests with enthusiasm and animation.
Sanitize and maintain equipment, supplies, and cleanliness of workstations and areas.
Work outdoors in some dark areas
Other duties as assigned by upper management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Previous experience as a stilt walker is preferred.
Must be physically fit.
Dance or gymnastic background preferred.
Must be able to utilize stilts of 24-48 in.
Must adhere to park standards and rules and must maintain a safe environment.
Must be outgoing, have a good attitude, and participate as a member of the team.
Must be willing to perform in various roles in full, approved makeup and costume as assigned. Responsible for taking care of costumes, tools, and props.
Must be able to stay in character for extended periods of time, performing in front of crowds, both as an individual and as part of a group.
Must work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must complete a basic interview and participate in an Entertainment Audition
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly standing, talking, climbing walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near far, stooping, bending, kneeling.
Working in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity, and temperature change.
Must be able to carry and wear 5 to 30 pounds of costume weight.
