Area of ​​responsibility

Operation of the stage machinery, especially in scenic use, both on the instructions of the theater manager and independently
Ensuring that the performances run safely, paying particular attention to the operation of the stage during the journey at sea
Responsibility for compliance with all safety-specific regulations in stage operation according to the specifications of the shore-side main office and the responsible managers on board.
Handling, maintenance and care of stage equipment, machines, textiles and tools
Assembly and dismantling of stage decorations, furniture and props
Proper storage of stage decorations, furniture and props with special attention to securing them for seaworthiness
Maintenance and care of stage equipment, stage decorations, furniture and props, if necessary arranging for repairs to be carried out by other departments or commissioning external companies via the main office on the shore
Responsibility for and participation in scene changes / conversions
Regulation of entrances and exits, coordination in the backstage area and direct communication with theater managers and FOH technology, especially in rehearsals and performances
Participation in the preparation and follow-up of the performances, especially during rehearsals and before, during and after a change of line-up
Interdisciplinary collaboration with sound and lighting technology
Creation and updating of inventory and log lists
Verifiable instruction of all persons who move or are being moved on the stage in the course of their work, in accordance with the "Stage Instruction Mein Schiff" in German and English
Active integration into the on-board community, participation in team meetings
Perception of the host function in compliance with the rules established for this purpose
Compliance with on-board regulations, safety requirements

Qualification / experience

Several years of experience in dealing with stage and automation desks (passenger travel, upper, lower and side machinery)
Knowledge of the Artthea control is desirable
Completed training as a specialist in event technology
Very good knowledge of theatrical and show-related processes
Experience in handling props
Experience in accompanying and implementing special events and in looking after guest artists
Very good German and English skills
Basic knowledge of using PC software
Possession of a valid IPAF PAL card is desirable
