Description:STAGE SUPERVISORReports to: Production Manager & Technical Director This job will remain open until filled, with a start date as soon as a hire is made. The Stage Supervisor manages stage operations and supervises the run crew during all technical rehearsals, previews, and performances. They are a critical member of the production department who primarily works with Stage and Production Management to maintain a safe and productive environment backstage. The Stage Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and Technical Director and will be assigned stagehand responsibilities for six shows per season. As the lead member of the run crew, they coordinate stage operations in cooperation with Stage Management. They also assist Stage Management in preparing rehearsal and backstage spaces, as well as other production departments between performances. Primary Responsibilities Attend design rehearsal runs, onstage spacing rehearsals, all technical rehearsals, and performances Attend weekly production department meetings around the performance schedule Diligently maintain a safe working environment backstage for cast and crew Work with Stage Managers, Designers, and Directors to plan reliable scenery transitions Execute and oversee stage operations in coordination with Stage Management Coordinate and execute scenery and props transitions with run crew and Stage Management Maintain the quality and integrity of stage, set, and prop elements; perform minor repairs and assist board operators with repairs and replacements Train other members of the run crew and supervise their work in stage operations Help set up rehearsal and backstage spaces, including stage management supply, first-aid, hospitality, and tech tables Reset backstage stations and supplies between productions Communicate stage operation needs with Production Management Relay best practices and guidance from supervisors and Stage/Production Management to run crew Swing for other backstage tracks as assigned by Production Management Work in other production departments between show runs Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills At least 3 years of technical theatrical experience 1–2 years of backstage show operation experience (or an equivalent number of productions) Availability to work weekends and evenings during technical rehearsals, previews, and performances Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to lift 50 pounds and maintain full range of motion Basic familiarity with rigging systems Ability to give and receive constructive criticism, follow direction, and adapt quickly with a positive attitude Experience with stage carpentry, stage lighting, or audio/visual equipment (preferred) Familiarity with Creative Conners SpikeMark software (a plus) About the Position Full-time, salaried position, paid bi-weekly ($42,000 – $44,000 annually, commensurate with experience) Monday through Friday, 40 hours weekly, with some evening and weekend hours required Everyman Theatre provides 100% medical coverage for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, including both full premium and full deductible coverage 401(k) plan with pre-tax contribution eligibility and 3% employer match after six months of service Paid time off includes vacation, holiday, sick, and personal days Employees receive complimentary and discounted tickets to performances and discounts on all classes for employees and families
