Description:The Stage Manager leads on the delivery of the creative and technical aspect of our shows, from organising costumes, cueing lights/sound, managing props, to organising rehearsals, they are essential to the smooth running of our performances.Job Description Job Description: Position: Stage Manager Location: Pedley Street Station, 63 Pedley Street, London Responsibilities: As a Stage Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth execution of backstage operations during show performances. Key responsibilities include: Show Running: Oversee and manage the entire backstage experience, ensuring smooth transitions and flawless performances. Prop Management: Sourcing, fixing, cleaning and tracking props Costume and Wig Management: Sourcing, fixing, fitting, organising costumes. Cleaning and wig maintenance is outsourced but managed by SM. Team Coordination: Lead and motivate the team to deliver top-notch performances. Scheduling: Create and manage schedules, ensuring all aspects of the show are well-coordinated. Training: Train and develop deputy staff to deliver high-quality performances, maintaining professionalism and upholding safety standards. Rehearsing: Supporting directors at rehearsals and running technical rehearsals. Collaboration: Work closely with performers, front of house, and bar to ensure a synchronised and memorable experience for the audience. Prompt Resolution: Handle any backstage issues promptly and professionally. Qlab Experience: knowledgable of q-lab set up and delivery Costuming + Prop Skills: Basic fixes, costume fitting, sourcing and organisation. Wig knowledge a big plus. Rehearsal Management Experience Coordination Expertise: Strong skills in coordinating backstage operations, ensuring smooth performances. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate your backstage team. Problem-Solving: A dedication to resolving any backstage issues promptly and professionally. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure flawless performances. Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with performers, technical crews, and management professionally.
