Description
The iconic Windmill Theatre will house an experience that pays homage to the beauty, the decadence and the history of the Windmill whilst at the same time bringing it firmly into modern times.

A melting pot of hedonistic soho, 1920s glamour and immersive digital theatre. Where the audience members role isn’t to simply sit back and enjoy the show.. but to co-author their own experience.

Role

We are looking for an experienced and trained stage manager to join the team. Some of your roles will include:

Be the first point of contact for all acts.
Take charge of the show once is starts, running the backstage and onstage.
Make sure that what is supposed to happen, happens! Overcoming handling any problems
Fire marshal duties during fire shows
Operate rigging systems
Arrange and care for all costumes
Keep dressing room organised & tidy
Make alterations to the set between scene changes, prompt actors and cue technicians
Supervise the 'get in', when the new set/props/special effects are installed, and the 'get out’
Preparing briefings and run sheets for each night.
Ensure the casts welfare, maintaining a working knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation and best practice.
Maintain a positive and energetic attitude at all times.
Create a weekly report
Attend rehearsals and meetings requested by artistic directors (estimated at 1-2 tech rehearsals a month)
Attend all shows. Five shows per week (Thursday-Sunday). Organise and train a deputy/stand in stage manager for holidays/sick days
Skills

Qualification in stage management or the equivalent in experience
Ideally experience in cabaret/alternative venues
Fire Marshall training
Experience operating rig systems is preferred but not essential
Excellent interpersonal skills
