Description:Job SummaryTo lead in stage management and support technical, production, artistic and creative teams in all aspects of production. Job Description Responsibilities: Attend production planning meetings and any other meetings as required Manage rehearsals to ensure safety and efficacy - includes balancing time and tasks to ensure the rehearsal runs smoothly, operating rehearsal sound equipment, managing props, marking out rehearsal spaces, and supporting production staff Manage all stage management staff, ensuring the effective output and welfare of those employees Clearly communicate information from rehearsals to all relevant parties including set, lighting, sound, props, wigs and wardrobe Keep accurate and up to date records of all rehearsal and performance paperwork Understand and work within relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures Manage the day to day operations for the stage management department Run the stage manager track for all scheduled performances Oversee the reset and to assist in the management of pre-show checks, warm ups etc Create and distribute accurate and detailed show reports for entire technical and creative teams Be responsible for managing the health and safety of the show team during performances Set up a weekly rotation for cleaning the set and props which is shared by the SM team Take lead on sourcing replacements or replenishments of props, either through the props supervisor or independently Manage the training and support of new members of the SM team and deps Manage cast change and understudy rehearsals and alongside the Company Manager, ensure that appropriate technical support is provided for these rehearsals Ensure all SM team have the relevant specialist training in conjunction with the Company Manager Work alongside and effectively communicate with all other Heads of Department and technical staff to ensure the smooth running of the show Communicate with Production Manager and General Manager regarding any props or set fixes if necessary Dates: 10th February - 31st August 2025 Job Requirements Excellent communication Excellent organizational and time management skills Basic knowledge of instrument repair is desirable Ability to be innovative and resourceful in problem solving Ability to work with and support all other departments.
