Description:Job SummaryBaseless Fabric is looking for a Stage Manager for our re-imagined production of The Elixir of Love this summer for high street performances & in Arcola Studio 1 as part of the Grimeborn Festival. Job Description Our unique 'street opera' performances give local people a chance to experience high quality accessible opera for free. The opera is re-imagined for London life today, edited to approx. 1hr and sung in modern English with 4 singers, 3 professional instrumentalists and a brass duo leading the audience between locations. As well as our street performances, we are also presenting the production in Arcola Studio 1 for 1 week as part of their Grimeborn Festival after our similar sell-out re-imagining of Die Fledermaus (4 stars The Guardian & The Stage) in 2019 & Carmen (4 Stars Evening Standard & Reviews Hub) in 2022. Dates: Monday 14th July - Sunday 10th August (includes rehearsals, street performances & Arcola) Fee: £675 per week plus holiday pay (£2990.25) - approx 35hrs a week. Job Requirements We are looking for a Stage Manager who can manage the stage management operations across rehearsals, Arcola technical rehearsals, and all performances; create, distribute, and maintain daily schedules, call sheets, and reports; drive a small van with costumes, props and equipment to each of our high street performances in South London; support our cast and creative team. Experience of site-specific performances and ability to read music desirable. Job Responsibilities Drive a small van to all street performances & for Arcola get in/out.
