Job Summary
The Grange Festival is seeking reliable and capable Stage Crew members to assist in the fit-up, maintenance, and operation of production sets for a series of opera, dance, and concert performances.
Job Description
This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and physical stamina, as the crew will be responsible for the safe installation of sets, heavy lifting, manual handling, and performing set changes during live performances. The stage crew will work under the direction of the Technical Manager to ensure that all technical elements are safely and efficiently executed.

Accommodation can be provided for applicants not local to Hampshire.

Access to a car is preferred due to the remote location of The Grange. It is not possible to reach the site via public transport.

Contract: 14th May- 9th July 2025.

Fee: £6,960. (£800 per week)

Job Requirements
Assist with the fit-up and installation of production sets, including building, rigging, and positioning set pieces according to the production requirements.

Participate in the unloading, loading, and transportation of set pieces and equipment to and from the venue, ensuring all items are handled safely.

Use appropriate tools and equipment to assemble and disassemble set pieces, props, and staging elements, following safety guidelines.

Assist in the placement of lighting, sound equipment, and other technical elements required for the production.

Ensure all sets and props are securely rigged and safely positioned to meet safety standards.

Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks, including carrying and positioning large and heavy-set pieces.

Assist with the safe movement of props, set pieces, and other technical equipment during fit-up and strike.

Basic understanding of stagecraft.

Job Responsibilities
Work as part of a collaborative and dynamic team, supporting the Stage Manager and other crew members during all stages of production.

Follow health and safety procedures at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for all crew members and performers.

Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of set pieces and equipment.

Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and tasks.
