International Dance Events and Auditions
IDEA (International Dance Events and Auditions) wants to be a springboard for young people who want to make the Dance their profession.
IDEA, has given young dancers the chance to obtain the following opportunities:
• 5 one-year contracts.
• 4 one-year internships
• 34 apprenticeships.
• 16 invitations to audition at different companies
• 16 admissions to professional formation programs with scholarship
• 15 admissions to professional formation programs
Our aim is to offer young talented dancers the opportunity to:
• Get contracts, apprenticeships and internships at international dance companies
• Progressing through Masterclasses
Multiple audition for international dance companies: 9 Companies 1 city

(candidates may choose in which audition participate. Participation in masterclassess is not compulsory)
• Audition 1 Only classical ballet companies (Ballett Koblenz, Ballet Theatre U.K., Ballet Ireland)
• Audition 2 All companies (Ballett Koblenz, Ballet Theatre U.K., Ballet Ireland, Ballet Preljocaj, Carabdanza, Komoco DC, Kinesis CDC, Tanz Company Gervasi, Opinion Public)
ATTENTION FOR AUDITIONS 1 AND 2 FEMALE DANCERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR POINTE SHOES.
• Audition 3 Only Contemporary Dance Companies (Ballet Preljocaj, Carabdanza, Komoco DC, Kinesis CDC, Tanz Company Gervasi, Opinion Public)
Auditions’ program
February 07th 2026
For audition 1, 2 and 3 the schedule will be as follows:
• Registration and assignment of numbers
• 1st Round: Ballet Class (in presence of Directors and Ballet Masters)
• 2nd Round: Contemporary Dance Class (in presence of Directors and Ballet Masters)
February 08th 2026
Warm up classes (Directors and Ballet Masters not present)
• 3rd Round: Presentation of (in presence of directors and ballet masters)
Audition 1: 1 variation from the classical dance repertoire or 1 contemporary dance solo (candidates' choice)
Audition 2: 1 variation from the classical dance repertoire and 1 contemporary dance solo
Audition 3: 1 contemporary dance solo
PLEASE NOTE all candidates will participate in the 2 days auditions. Cuts of candidates, after 1st and 2nd rounds, are NOT planned.
• 4th Round: Candidates selected for any positions in companies (contracts, apprenticeships, internships) will be called for one or more interviews with the representatives of the companies.
Recipients:
• Masterclasses: from 16 to 25 years of age (as of February 5th 2026)
• Audition: from 18 to 25 years of age (as of February 7th 2026)
