This position is responsible for Supervising the Sound Department and ensuring that the technical and aesthetic standards of the audio are at their highest caliber.
Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to: Keeping the paperwork up to date, planning the annual budget, ordering, clear communication with outside vendors, outside gigs as assigned, attending Full Company Meetings, attending Production Meetings, attending rehearsals as scheduled, evaluating the Sound staff, scheduling, assisting in the hiring and training of new Audio Engineers, and clear communication of notes and changes to the part timers.
Show responsibilities include performing preset duties, executing show cues as well as changeover & post show duties in a safe, professional and timely manner. The Sound Supervisor is required to work a minimum of 5 shows per week (more may be necessary during increased performance weeks).
Qualified candidates must have an extensive background in live audio mixing. Extensive experience in maintaining and repairing gear is required. Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
