Description:Job SummaryConceived by The Neon Coven, OSCAR at The Crown is an immersive nightclub musical phenomenon detailing the rise and fall of one of history’s most flamboyant figures: Oscar Wilde. Job Description The responsibilities of this role will include delivering all services typically required for a first-class production, executed to the highest professional standards. The entire touring company is expected to work collaboratively as a team and, on occasion, support other departments. The role runs until mid-July, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. After previews and opening performances, it will transition into a Sound Operator position. Work closely with the Sound Designer, associates, and freelance production staff during pre-production and production Setup and management of IEMs, microphones and sound equipment as required. Work closely with other technical departments, stage management, the acting company, resident creative team and theatre staff Mixing the show to a high standard Responsible for the sound department and maintaining the design established by the Designer and Associates. Maintenance of the production as instructed and dictated by the original creative team, Production Management and resident creative team is crucial. Attendance at all rehearsals, technical rehearsals and performances is required. You will ensure regular maintenance and all department equipment is kept in a tidy and secure manner. Maintenance of the production as instructed and dictated by the Job Responsibilities Alongside the Production Sound Engineer, lead the sound department during the fit-up and load-out Attend the full production period of each venue. Basic knowledge of equipment rigging, suspension and safety Familiarity with and adherence to current Health & Safety guidelines relevant to the production is essential, which may include working at height, using appropriate safety equipment and clothing and attending training as deemed necessary.
