Circadium is a college-level program, and teachers must be invested in the creative process with students, and in the collaborative work of the faculty. Preparatory work, grading, and faculty meetings are a significant part of instructors’ jobs here. Successful candidates will be excited about the school’s vision, and ready to roll up their sleeves to make an impact in the field of contemporary circus.

For all faculty positions, the class dates, times, and salary are TBD.

Circadium cannot obtain international work visas at this time. Applicants must be legally able to work in the United States.

Teach a once-a-week class to college-aged students, Friday mornings 8:00am-9:00am. The Somatic Practice class should help students develop a deeper understanding of the human body and the way it moves; as well as learning to prevent and recover from injuries. We are open to applicants with backgrounds in Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Laban, and other practices.

Ideal candidate will have:
3+ years of teaching bodywork
experience working in higher education
interest in / appreciation for circus arts, and a willingness to research the specific physical needs of circus artist-athletes.
