Prescott Circus Theatre is seeking an experienced acrobatics coach / social circus teaching artist to teach and support Oakland students, primarily ages 8 – 16, in our 35+ year program at Prescott Elementary, middle – high school advancing students, and additional programs. Position is for the 2022-2023 school year and may include summer employment. Experience in act creation, performance production, and / or fundamental ground skills (juggling, equilibristics, dance, etc.) and/or theater arts are a huge plus. BIPOC Teaching Artists are strongly encouraged to apply. Compensation: $30 - $45/hr direct coaching. $25/hr meetings, trainings, prep. 3+ hrs min. per class. Accrued sick pay. Possible relocation stipend for the right candidate. Schedule: August onboarding September 2022 - May 2023 teaching three afternoons/ week, Monday/Wednesday/Friday plus additional days pending interest and availability.
