Description:Underbelly is delighted to present Tweedy's Massive Circus, a brand new show from the world-famous Tweedy, presented in a 300 seat circus tent touring across the UK for 14 weeks.Job Description The Site and Tent Master is a vital member of the venue team, managing all of the on-site staff to deliver a safe, fun and high quality experience for the artists, audiences and staff. Your main responsibilites are to manage the entire team in order to build the site, run and maintain the site and then manage the site break and movement to the next location. You should be a real people-person whilst also having the ability to manage and lead site builds, breaks and the organisation that it requires to tour to several locations around the UK. This role is a key member of the production team and is responsible for all major operational decisions on-site. Dates of Engagement Rehearsal period: 30th April - 19th May 2024 Tour Dates: 20th May - 28th July 2024 Pay Details Freelance contract: £1000/week (£886/week + holiday pay) based on a 6 day week. In additon to the above, £120 per diems per week Accomodation provided at each location. Job Requirements Ideal Experience Proven site and/or venue management background, with experience of festival sites an advantage. Good working knowledge of health and safety in an events environment. Ability to create a positive work atmosphere. Excellent leadership skills. Excellent team work skills. Confident with power/hand tools (own tools preferable). Some carpentry experience. Crew Requirements Enjoy working with a team. Aptitude for learning. Outstanding organisational skills. Diligence and attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanour. Ability to perform under stress. Excellent multitasking ability. Conflict management skills. Desirable Experience Driving licence & own vehicle. Personal Licence holder Job Responsibilities Site Build Manage production schedule and admin for the get-in Managing the entire physical get-in, making sure staff know their responsibilities and that the get-in takes place on schedule. Have authority to make changes to the site layout during the get-in Being responsible for all health and safety on the get-in. Liaising with the venue to get the connections required in order to run the show successfully Daily Duties Manage whole site and being responsible for the entire team Have final say on making the decision to evacuate the site and stop the performance Responsible for all health and safety during the run. Perform any site maintenance that is required. Site Strike Manage production schedule and admin for get-out Managing the travel aspect of the move from venue to venue, including any transport and accommodation-related admin. Making sure everything is packed correctly into the transport vehicles by the relevant teams.
