About the project Are you a professional vocalist based near Manchester, UK, looking for a unique paid opportunity? We're collaborating with a leading karaoke app on an innovative research project! We're collecting diverse vocal recordings to train advanced machine learning models of the human singing voice. Our focus is on capturing natural, human variation, not mechanical perfection What We're Looking For: Experienced Vocalists: You must be 18 or over with professional singing experience in vocal variations Manchester-Based: You should be located in or close to Manchester, UK, as all recordings take place at a local studio. (Travel costs are not covered) Availability: You'll need to be available for one 2.5-hour studio session on a weekday (Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 7 PM). We anticipate recording throughout August Project Details You'll record a specific song, "The Rainbow Passage," performing its sections in 12 different stylistic variations. Your voice will be captured using high-quality equipment in an acoustically controlled environment. We use no EQ, compression, or effects – we want your authentic, raw voice! We value genuine human expression, so don't worry about being "perfect." Small pitch inaccuracies and expressive variations are welcome!
