YOUR MISSION Reporting to the Vice-President – Operations, Touring Shows, the Senior Tour Director is responsible to provide day to day guidance and vision to Directors and Managers while contributing to the Artists’ and employees’ well-being and professional development. He is responsible to ensure business objectives and targets are met while upholding Cirque’s strong customer-driven philosophy. He acts as the corporate representative of CDS in relationships with all internal and external parties. The Tour Director is also accountable for the tour's operations. Human Resources: · Responsible to lead inspire and supervise all personnel on tour; · Ensure compliance and application of the tour policies while using his best judgment; · Manage and ensure the effectiveness of CODI and Company meetings; · Oversee the performance management process for all staff; · Lead all Human Resources aspects; · Support Directors in building strong teams across all departments; · Oversee the implementation and application of the on-site emergency measures plan; · Ensure that all requirements related to the Health and Safety are implemented and respected on tour; · Create a collaborative, safe and healthy working environment. Operations: · Plan and supervise of all operations on tour; · Create strong relationships and collaborate with all functional links at IHQ; · Ensure compliance and enforce all laws and regulations in the cities visited; · Ensure the high quality of the show; · Oversee the operations between each city visited; · Responsible to ensure the proper maintenance of all tour equipment (short, mid and long-term planning); · Responsible to optimize the satisfaction of the public and the relationship with customers; · Participate on rotation in Director on Duty (DOD) shifts plus any promotional activities; · Manage the contracts and relationships with the promoters, when applicable. Finance: · In collaboration with the Finance team, create and monitor operation budgets for all departments on tour; · Ensure that the deadlines and budgets of the tour are respected; · Clarify and explain variations in the Tour’s monthly forecasts; · Approve all touring expenses within procedures and budgets issued by the company; · Work to improve the revenues generated by the show and other incomes such as Food and Beverage, Merchandising, etc. on tour; · Responsible to follow up on all KPI s measures implemented. YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE · 10 years of experience in Entertainment, Project Management or in a similar position; · Education degree in Business, Entertainment Administration or a related field; · Experience in management; · Experience in negotiations and budget management; · Experience managing significant projects; · Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); any other languages spoken and/or written is an asset; · Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office suite; · Proven strong interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills; · Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively; · Interested in touring full-time with the show and authorized to travel and work in foreign countries; · International Touring Experience an asset.
