The Cirque du Soleil Casting team will hold auditions in Nashville, Tennessee in December 2023 for professional instrumentalists with stage experience and versatility.
Required qualifications.
18 years or older;
Male or female identifying

Instrumentalists and multi-instrumentalists
We are seeking musicians or an existing band to perform a diversity of styles on-stage related to the roots of, and all the way up to, the present day of country music. Interested singers should be available for an 18-month contract for a touring show.
Musician roles
Instrumentalists capable of mixing elements of string bands, folk, bluegrass, country music on the following instruments are welcome to apply for this opportunity.
· Drum set
· Bass and Double Bass
· Guitar (electric, acoustic and nylon strings), Pedal Steel Guitar, Banjo
· Violin and mandolin
Qualifications:
· For all the band positions it is an asset to be a solid backup vocal singer.
· It is also an asset to play other instruments such as accordion, piano & keyboard, harmonica, auto harp, etc.
· Excellent improvisation skills are required.
· Ability to blend a variety of genres and styles is required.
· Good stage experience is required.

4. A video demo of you on stage or in rehearsal, demonstrating your charisma and your skill in various styles on all your instruments (demo reel).

· All complete applications (cv/resumé and video demos) will be evaluated.
· Only selected candidates will be contacted and will receive an email to confirm their presence at the audition.
Please note that:
· Cirque du Soleil will not pay for any expenses incurred by candidates attending this audition.
· This is also a general audition for all roles in our current shows and upcoming creations. Candidates who successfully pass the audition will become part of our database of potential artists for future casting calls.
· Musicians selected for this show will be offered a contract following the audition.
