About this Organization:
Liars & Believers is an ensemble company that creates original live shows with music, movement, mask, puppet, video, clown, live bands, aerialists … pretty much anything we can get our hands on.

We collaboratively develop our plays over 12-24 months of improvisation, experimentation, and training. We premiere in Greater Boston, then continually tour and revise our shows. LAB is the only Boston theatre company touring original work regionally and internationally. LAB works almost exclusively with local artists, training them and paying a fair living wage.

Liars & Believers recognizes our privilege and our limitations as a white theatre company. We are committed to changing, through inclusive and equitable practices and by holding space for diverse voices. This work is centered around practiced power sharing. It includes partnerships with BIPOC-led organizations, diversifying our company and our board, continual anti-racism education, and active participation in decentralizing European concepts of arts & culture.
