Tavaziva is seeking a male dancer to join the company for the creation and touring of Bawren Tavaziva’s new production ‘Boy’s Khaya’ starting in July.

Due to COVID restrictions we will be holding auditions digitally via video submissions. Shortlisted dancers will be provided a sample of Bawren’s choreography, which they will then submit a self-recorded performance of the phrase. Further details will be provided upon shortlisting.

Tavaziva is an acclaimed contemporary-African touring dance company established in 2004 and led by Zimbabwean-born Bawren Tavaziva. His unique style is a choreographic synthesis of ballet, contemporary and African dance.

We are looking for 1 male dancer with at least three years of professional dance training experience and strong ballet and contemporary techniques.

Creation/ rehearsals: July to September 2021

Touring and workshops: September to November 2021
(approx. 8 performance dates across the tour)
