Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver a magical experience for families and guests who enter Santa's Workshop
Answer children's questions and entertain them throughout their brief visit
Maintain character whilst being jovial and happy throughout all interactions
Santa will be non-judgmental, not promise children anything, and know how to deal with shy children, children with special needs, and those from diverse backgrounds
Sit for and participate in family and individual portraits with park guests
Work closely with the photographers to ensure a variety of quality photos are captured
Make special appearances at functions both on-property and off-property as scheduled
Maintain professional standards in accordance with all Six Flags policies and procedures
Follow all opening and closing procedures and checklists
Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Natural light colored beard preferred
Must be available for training and/or rehearsals prior to the beginning of Holiday in the Park
Must be available work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
Ability to interact with and work with people of varying ages, needs, and backgrounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced mall type setting
Open-minded, gentle, warm, and tolerable of children's unexpected behaviors
Must be able to pose for pictures and be comfortable with frequent photographs
Ability to be in costume and character for long periods of time
Must be willing and able to work closely with other employees and guests
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
Must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to fifty pounds
Should be a motivated self-starter and able to take direction
