SANCA Youth Companies Manager
Job Overview
Manage the vision, goals, and implementation of programs for SANCA youth performance companies, creating a community that fosters personal growth through collaborative, youth-driven engagement in circus arts. SANCA’s three youth companies provide young circus students the opportunity to add performance experience to their circus training under the direction of experienced coaches.

Responsibilities and Duties
General
● Hire, supervise and schedule all Youth Companies coaches
● Set regular meetings with Youth Company coaches and with parents
● Serve as point of first contact for coaches, parents, chaperones
● Schedule guest/specialty coaches
● Work with Interim Head Coach and Company coaches to develop and implement curriculum for all SANCA Youth Companies:
○ overall group goals
○ performance opportunities
○ evaluation and future planning
○ managing timelines for projects and holding team members accountable
● Work with families for parent volunteer needs
● Work with coaches to keep Youth Company handbook up to date
● Manage trips (AYCO, other youth circus festivals), including fundraising
● Stay up to date with greater youth circus performer community (festivals, performance opportunities, shows to see/performers to train with, etc.)
● Work with Marketing Director to promote performance opportunities, outside events, new classes, and shows
● Sign off and track employee hours
● Perform coach evaluations
● Perform regular program evaluations by soliciting feedback from parents, students, and coaches
Events:
● Serve as first point of contact for performance scheduling and show coordination
● Oversee bookings, contracts, insurance, site visits, show scheduling and programming,
equipment reservations and transportation, plus distribution of SANCA marketing materials
● Track events/participation each session for Development
For Performance Classes:
● Work with the Interim Head Coach to schedule Companies training classes, coaches
● Oversee Final showcase, including organizing sound, photography, student management
Typical Schedule
● Average 17 weekly administrative hours (15 - 20 hours, depending on performance schedule)
● 0 - 10 hours outside availability for: events, site visits, show meetings
Compensation
Depends on experience
Successful Candidates possess:
● Experience coaching circus to youth
● Experience managing employees
● Leadership skills
● Experience creating and performing circus acts
