Description:Frost Productions — New York OfficeFreelance Entertainment Riggers (Tri-State Area) The New York office of Frost Productions is seeking highly motivated and qualified entertainment riggers based in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) to join our team on a freelance basis. Compensation: $40 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience. Position Responsibilities Work with onsite supervisor to ensure safe installation, use, and removal of rigging equipment used during events Hang points for trussing, line arrays, video systems, scenery, and soft goods Build ground-supported truss structures for lighting, audio, video, etc. Adhere to safety standards for rigging equipment and safe working methods Operate scissor and boom lifts as needed Position Requirements 3+ years of experience in the event industry Comprehensive understanding of safe working loads, safety factors, and rigging standards Experience with arena rigging practices and terminology Ability to manage projects and small crews as assigned by onsite supervisor OSHA Aerial Lift certification or equivalent Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working at heights Demonstrate initiative and ownership of assigned tasks Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers Preferred Qualifications Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Comfortable driving large vehicles (16' to 24' box trucks; CDL not required) ETCP Rigging Certification or equivalent Experience with temporary electrical distribution To apply, please send your resume and cover letter to [email protected] with your name and the job title you are applying for in the subject line.
