Proudly regional, the Flying Fruit Fly Circus (FFFC) trains and performs on Wiradjuri land. It is one of Australia’s leading youth arts companies and an Arts8 national centre for excellence, delivering a combined circus and academic program for young people aged 8-19.
As part of this program, the company creates and tours award-winning contemporary circus for young and family audiences. Ordinary kids doing extraordinary things.
Based in Albury-Wodonga, the Resident Circus Trainer will join a highly professional team to help deliver a comprehensive circus training program from beginner to advanced.
This role will suit an experienced acrobatics trainer and is an initial one-year position, with potential for extending, up to 30 hours per week depending on experience. Salary $60,000 – $70,000 pro-rata.

Essential Skills and Experience
High level acrobatic skills with good knowledge of:
* Fundamental skills and technique in Handstands
* Tumble
* Trampoline
* Conditioning and Flexibility
* Hand to Hand /Adagio
* Banquine
*Group Acro
Proven experience of working with and coaching young people.
Good understanding of the rigours of a high-level training organisation.
Ability to be adaptable and learn new skills and apparatus.
Demonstrated interest in training methodology and pedagogy.
Ability and willingness to teach different age groups from basic recreational to elite.
Demonstrated abilities to work within and contribute positively to a team environment.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualifications.
* Experience of cross-disciplinary art forms.
* Experience of working within a youth arts company.
* An understanding of the challenges and opportunities of a regional arts organisation.
* Personal Qualities
Outstanding interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate ideas.
Calm under pressure and able to solve problems effectively.
Ability to work happily in a busy creative youth arts environment.
A passion for creative learning and the benefits of youth circus.
