Anis Gras - the place of the Other is a former factory, listed in the inventory of historical monuments. It belongs to the town hall of Arcueil (94). As part of a transfer of skills, the Grand-Orly Seine Bièvre Territorial Public Equipment (cooperative of towns of 94 and 91) ensures the maintenance of Anis Gras. In 2005, the place was entrusted to the Écarts association to lead a project dedicated to contemporary creation in all its diversity and an integral part of the territorial artistic and cultural offer. Today the place welcomes, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, around 150 artistic teams per season, all disciplines combined, for work (research, rehearsals, etc.) and dissemination (shows, concerts, exhibitions, festivals, etc.). The team invites diverse audiences around this activity and sets up cultural activities in the place but also outside the walls. The venue aims to be a flexible tool serving all professional artists or those on the path to professionalization, regardless of their background or aesthetic, as well as a space for meetings, discoveries and hospitality.
Job Description
Within the Écarts association:
- under the responsibility of its board of directors and its director,
- in close daily collaboration with the coordinator, the
intermittent technical managers, and the team in charge of maintaining the place, - and in conjunction with the entire Anis Gras team, the manager's main mission is:
• To actively participate in welcoming the artistic teams and the public and more particularly in the technical reception of the artistic teams.
He or she ensures the general good condition of the work spaces dedicated to the artists (ideally: inventory of the premises upon entry and exit of the teams).
He or she reads the technical sheets of the artistic teams and makes an initial return to the coordinator to ensure their compatibility with the means available in the place and to agree, as a team, on the responses to be provided.
He or she prepares and places the furniture and technical equipment according to the different receptions.
He or she participates in the unloading and loading of equipment and sets.
He or she participates in the assembly and disassembly of the hosted shows.
He or she provides certain sound and lighting control during small events held by the venue.
He or she ensures the upkeep, first-level maintenance of the equipment fleet as well as its inventory and storage. He or she alerts in case of breakdown, deterioration, or disappearance of equipment, in order to be able to keep the list of technical equipment of the venue as up to date as possible.
He or she participates in the establishment of purchasing lists of consumables (show and building) to be made and participates in equipment purchasing decisions.
He or she participates in the monitoring of loans and borrowings of technical equipment. He or she ensures the safety and comfort of the audiences.
He or she participates in the monitoring of regulatory documents related to safety (DU, Safety Register, authorizations).
He or she participates in monitoring regulatory developments in terms of safety and compliance of equipment.
He or she participates in monitoring periodic inspections in the building.
The stage manager also has the following additional duties:
To participate in the general cleanliness of the building and more specifically in the rehearsal and performance rooms dedicated to artists and the technical room;
To participate in the installation of furniture and technical equipment outside the walls, including the performance hall of the Cousin de Méricourt EHPAD in Cachan where the Anis Gras team organizes artistic residencies and cultural activities.
