Real Dinosaurs is looking for a new performer to join our growing entertainment team!
We tour interactive dinosaur shows to venues, festivals, clubs and events around Melbourne and regional VIC — and we need a confident, energetic puppeteer to help bring our life-size dinosaurs to life.
If you love performing, improvising, making kids laugh and don’t mind getting a little sweaty inside a dinosaur suit… this gig is for you.
Role Description
Operate our large dinosaur puppets (T-Rex / Raptor) and baby dinosaur puppets
Perform in interactive shows, roves & meet-and-greets
Engage with children and families in a fun, professional manner
Assist with set-up/pack-down and basic show support
Some regional travel may be required (accommodation & travel covered)
Requirements
Performance experience (acting, musical theatre, dance, comedy, clowning or mascot work)
Comfortable performing with high energy in front of children
Physically fit – puppeteering involves movement and wearing a full-body suit
Reliable, team-focused and punctual
Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
Driver’s licence preferred
Details
Paid role (rates disclosed to shortlisted applicants)
Casual / event-based work: mostly weekends + school holidays
Training provided
Opportunities for ongoing touring for the right person
