Description:Are you a Circus Director, Theater Director, or Choreographer interested in directing circus? The New England Center for Circus Arts, the longest running Circus Arts Program in the United States, seeks a creative and motivated candidate to direct the capstone production for NECCA’s graduating ProTrack class. The director will develop and direct the show, which will showcase our aspiring professionals. Experience working with emerging professional young adults, enthusiasm for themes of gender identity, and a background in circus, dance, or theater industries preferred.Duration is 4 weeks total work onsite at The New England Center for Circus Arts in Brattleboro, VT. Week 1: February 20-24, 2022. Research and Development with students Weeks 2-4: April 2 -23, 2022. Creation & Tech Remote pre-production meetings will begin December 2021 After completion of show development with the director in April, the show will have a multi-venue tour throughout New England. Remuneration commensurate with experience Space provided at NECCA for the director's personal acrobatic, dance, or theater practice while onsite in Brattleboro. Must be a US citizen or have papers to work in the United States.
