Cabaret Bijou Entertainment Inc. #5 - 1717 Duchess Ave, West Vancouver, BC, V7V 1P8 WEBSITE: http://cabaretbijou.com JOB DESCRIPTION: Cabaret Bijou Entertainment Inc. is seeking a dynamic and original circus performance Duo that is: a professional, established and multi-skilled Duo that brings a combination of world class circus abilities and talents in a fresh, fun, contemporary, comedic and well-choreographed original Act. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include performing the professional, entertaining and engaging original Act on all performance days of the live event, and proving and props and costumes related to the Act. Must be able to work October 5, 2022 to March 4, 2023, with possible extension to March 18, 2023. Work will be located at the Burrard Civic Marina, Vanier Park, Vancouver, BC 1655 Whyte Ave, Vancouver, BC, V6J 1A9 QUALIFICATIONS: The Duo must possess a combination of high level circus skills such as acrobatics, contortion, aerial hoop, object manipulation, hand balancing, clowning and comedy; incorporating physical props such as hula hoops, juggling clubs, balls or hoops. Both performers in the Duo must have received circus training from a recognized circus school or circus training organization. Each performer is required to have a minimum of 5 years professional circus performance experience with at least 2 fully developed acts performed professionally within the last 3 years. Each performer will have at least 1 year performing experience with the other performer in the Duo. The Duo must have established proficiency in improvisational comedy, physical comedy and interactive audience comedy and previous experience performing in an immersive venue setting. The Duo will have at least 2 original comedic circus acts they have developed and performed ready to be considered for incorporation into the show structure. They must demonstrate creative and comedic chemistry in their performance and to a level that the Creative Director determines will work as part of the ensemble cast of the live show. Each performer in the Duo must also demonstrate acting ability at a level required by the Creative Director of the production. Language of work is English.
