Description:

Oversee production logistics for Special Events and programming as assigned by the Director of Production.

Prepare technical estimates including labor and production related costs for events/activities pertaining to Special Events and assigned programming.

Manage + set-up AV systems (speakers, microphones, projectors, lighting) needed for events/activities in the theater lobbies, support spaces and non-affiliated union theatres.

Assist in scheduling and supervising stagehand labor needed for assigned Special Events and programming.

Ensure advance information conforms to approved riders and contracts on all events and programs as assigned.

Effectively communicate production details to all necessary Playhouse Square staff including stagehands.

Supervise and arrange delivery, pick-up and payment of rented equipment needed for assigned events/programs.

Stay up to date with affiliated Union contracts.

Qualifications

3-5 years of applicable professional theatrical/production work experience.

Experience reading and interpreting drawings and other technical materials.

Hands-on experience working with audio equipment and projection equipment.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Working knowledge of labor contracts, specifically I.A.T.S.E.

Outgoing, people-oriented person, with outstanding interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication/analytical skills.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.

Ability to work nights and weekends.
