Position Summary
This position is the leadership role for all technical needs of the Performing Arts Department. This role will manage the timeline and communication of all productions to the teams, maintain budgets and performance spaces, oversee the student workers that stage manage, and serve as the professional stage manager when a student SM is not available.
Position is an hourly position of 30 hours per week working a 10-month work period (August- May) annually.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage the timeline and communication of all productions to the production team. Schedule and run all productions. Be the onsite supervisor at all tech and production weeks.
Create and reconcile production season budget. Facilitate contracts for outside hires and invoices for production materials turning in paperwork in a timely manner to the office manager.
Assign student stage managers to each production in collaboration with faculty directors. Meet with student stage managers on a regular basis to ensure they are on track with the needs of the production, including creating all appropriate paperwork, effectively communicating with the production team and preparing for technical rehearsals and performances.
Serve as the professional stage manager when a student SM is not available.
Coordinate with similar departments' events and programming to ensure entities operate collaboratively during the year.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This job will require nights and weekends during productions. Ability to travel to on-campus performance spaces and off-campus warehouse.
Physical Effort
Ability to frequently lift 40lbs.

Required Qualifications:
B.A. or B.F.A. in theatre, with an emphasis in stage management or equivalent work experience.
3 years of professional stage management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Fine Art in stage management, five or more years of professional stage management experience and AEA or AGMA membership.
