Description:SummaryThe Production Manager is instrumental in overseeing and facilitating the day-to-day production operations of the theatre while assisting the Artistic Director in achieving mission-driven goals in production and programming. Reporting to the Artistic Director, the PM is a member of IRT’s senior management team and will work closely with the Managing Director, Associate Managing Director, Associate Artistic Director, and all additional Senior Management. Requirements A strong candidate will have experience in: Proven experience in handling production and design processes on large–scale productions Working knowledge of USA, SDC, AEA and LORT collective bargaining agreements Working in producing organizations or similar entertainment ventures, preferably a nonprofit regional theatre Prioritizing and scheduling multi-step processes through completion Managing varied staff (freelancers, full–time, part–time, over–hire) Knowledge of professionals working in the theatre field Ability to operate effectively in changing environments Strong written and communication skills; high emotional intelligence Strong facilitation and organizational skills Strong financial management and production budgeting experience Integrity and discretion Working knowledge of industry “best practices”
