Description:
The Collectif la Basse Cour was created in 2005 around Turbul', Nîmes circus school (association call for air) and place of artistic residence. The Collective brings together committed, creative and demanding artists. Each of the 10 companies follows its own artistic line, all united by the field of the new circus. The shows of the Collective are therefore very varied both in their content and in their form, all the circus disciplines are represented in a common spirit of sharing and artistic commitment.
The Collective is an association, which allows it shared governance between all the companies on the principles of collective intelligence. The companies have
grouped together in order to pool their resources to finance an administrative office made up of an administrative officer (social, accounting, communication) and a production officer (position to be filled). The operation of the Collective is based on the principle of solidarity economy. In addition to the activity of the member companies (16 shows in diffusion and 5 in creation), the Collective carries a support system for emerging circus companies: La Fabrique des Arts du cirque and organizes one-off events (2 in 2023) .
Job Description
Under the hierarchical responsibility of the associative board of directors, the production manager is jointly responsible for the development of the structure with the administrative manager and in permanent contact with the companies.
Its missions are divided between:
1/ The production of the companies
2/ The coordination of the Fabrique des Arts du cirque
3/ The life of associations and the representation of the Collective in professional networks
He/She is the guarantor of the economic health of the associative structure and must demonstrate inventiveness, attentiveness and flexibility in setting up the economic model.
1/ Production of the companies:
Supporting member companies in the creation of their shows is the main mission of the position.
- Co-construction of the production strategy with the artistic project leaders: drafting of production files, provisional budgets, search for partners (co-productions, residences, etc.);
- Subsidy applications: assembly of the aid application file, filing, follow-up and assessment, with various financial partners (city of Nîmes, Gard department, Occitanie region, DRAC Occitanie, Occitanie en Scène);
- Follow-up and involvement in creation projects: production follow-up meeting, reflection and advice on the economic strategy to adopt, support during partner meetings (institutional or not), presence during residencies, participation in the various stages of construction of the project ;
- Monitoring of calls for projects and mechanisms;
- Drafting of transfer contracts and agreements;
- Relay on the possibilities of distribution (registration on the dedicated platforms).
2/ Coordination of the Circus Arts Factory:
La Fabrique des Arts du Cirque is a multi-faceted system that supports emerging teams on the path to professionalization. The production manager is responsible for monitoring and developing this action in partnership with the artists of the Collective involved in the project and the Circus School Turbul', a partner in this scheme.
- Reflection and implementation, with the team involved, of a support program for the companies identified, and the development of the system;
- Coordination of the partnership with the Balthazar circus school: follow-up of residences, assessments;
- Logistic organization of the laboratories of the Factory, educational interventions on the production and management of a company with the participating companies;
- Representation with cultural and institutional partners, reflection and implementation of new partnerships;
- Follow-up of the artistic teams accompanied: monitoring and advice;
- Administrative monitoring of the system: grant applications, drafting of partnership agreements, budget monitoring, drafting of reports (internally and for partners) and reports.
3/ Associative life and representation of the Collective in professional networks:
The production manager takes part in the daily and exceptional life of the Collective with the administrative officer. He also represents it with partners and in professional networks.
- Search for funding for the entire Collective, monitoring and editing of grant application files and additional funding opportunities;
- Involvement in associative life: organization, follow-up and drafting of the minutes of the Board of Directors and the Annual General Meeting, participation in the reflections and the implementation of the general operation of the association, internal communication ( information relay and internal newsletter);
- Administrative management and coordination during the organization of collective projects and events (Petite fête sous le signe and Nuit Occupé e #2 in 2023), including with the partners involved;
- Participation in professional networks at departmental and regional level, in institutional meetings (presence and drafting of reports) and monitoring of local cultural policies;
- In connection with the administrative officer: follow-up of the association's administrative obligations, proofreading of budgets, accounting, end-of-year balance sheet, follow-up with administrative partners (bank, accountant);
- Writing of the Office's monthly Newsletter to inform the companies of the activities of the two employees

Similar experience of at least one year
The position is based in Nîmes, in the premises of the Lower Court.
The office is shared with the administrative officer.
The position to be filled is face-to-face, with the possibility of teleworking.
Job start between June 1 and June 15, 2023 for transfer according to
experience.
