We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our team as Production Assistant. In this multifaceted role, you will provide essential administrative and research support to ensure the smooth running of production operations, and coordinate the digital presence of the Company and its Productions. You will assist in coordinating meetings, managing logistics, and supporting the creative and production teams. This is a great role for anyone looking to gain more hands-on experience in the theatre industry.
About Wild Yak
Wild Yak is an award-winning London based independent production and general management company led by Producer and Society of London Theatre member, Oliver King.
We specialise in new writing with a political, social or historical edge and international work.
We produce, develop and manage all forms of live entertainment, including theatre, concerts, comedy and dance productions, as well as private events and commercial photo and video shoots. We have recently set up a new arm with a focus on developing original drama content for film and television and also act as general managers for a range of organisations and independent productions.
Particulars
Hours: 10am-6pm, Monday - Friday
Work on evenings, weekends and Public Holidays will be required on occasion as necessitated by Production Schedules.
Location: Bloomsbury, London (in-person)
You may be required to work on-site at venues in London or for shows on tour in the UK/internationally
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per year depending on experience.
Job Requirements
Essential
Excellent organisational skills and keen eye for detail;
Experience and creative engagement with social media platforms;
Positive, proactive attitude with strong people skills;
Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritise effectively;
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment;
Familiarity and competency with Operating Software such as Microsoft Office;
Enthusiasm for and demonstrable interest in the theatre/events/arts sector.
Desirable
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro;
Experience working in a Production Office in theatre/arts or similar environment;
Familiarity with the theatre and arts scene in London & UK more widely as well as globally.
Job Responsibilities
Schedule and attend Producer and GM meetings, taking minutes;
Manage social media accounts and websites for Wild Yak and our productions;
Record invoices and payment transactions under the guidance of the General Manager, ensuring financial records are up-to-date and accurate;
Prepare rehearsals including scripts and room bookings;
Organise and manage house seat requests for Productions;
Assist in the preparation and management of contracts for productions;
Coordinate travel, accommodation and visas;
Order and coordinate taxis and couriers for Productions as needed;
Coordinate the collection/approval of information for programmes;
Assist with Press Nights/Gala Events;
Provide general administrative/research assistance to the Production team;
Ensure the smooth running of office operations;
Be a friendly face for the company with a proactive attitude towards your work with clients and colleagues.
