Jermyn Street Theatre are seeking a full time Producer. This role is perfectly suited for a freelance producer making work at scale off-West End looking to move in-house at a producing theatre, or for an Assistant Producer at a larger venue looking to take the next step in their career.

Job Description
Jermyn Street Theatre's Producer is a core member of the team delivering high quality theatre in the West End's Studio Theatre. They support the Artistic Director and Executive Producer in delivering the theatre's artistic programme, with the Executive Director in supporting the smooth administration of the theatre, and work closely with other staff members and freelance artists to deliver the theatre's productions at its home on Jermyn Street as well as on tour.


You would be joining Jermyn Street Theatre at a transformative moment following its 30th anniversary season and recent transfers of Farm Hall to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in the West End and The Lonely Londoners to Kiln Theatre. This role is perfectly suited for a freelance producer making work at scale off-West End looking to move in-house at a producing theatre, or for an Assistant Producer at a larger venue looking to take the next step in their career. This is a role perfectly suited to a producer who wants to make a significant mark in the industry and produce plays with some of the UK's leading artists.

Job Requirements

Essential

At least two years professional as a producer working at scale off-West End, or as an Assistant Producer on larger productions.
Strong financial skills including budget management, and experience managing budgets in excess of £20,000.
A keen eye for detail.
Excellent organisation and planning skills with proven ability to work flexibly under pressure, to prioritise and to meet deadlines.
An affinity for Jermyn Street Theatre, the artists it works with, and the plays that it produces.
A thorough understanding of the production process and of working directly with creative teams and facilitating artistic processes.
Experience of negotiation and contracting with agents and artists.
Persuasive communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.
Experience preparing accounts for Theatre Tax Relief.
A strong network of contacts within the theatre industry.

Job Responsibilities
Producing

To line produce all of the theatre's productions at the theatre and on tour.
To anticipate and manage the artistic needs of the production within the constraints of schedules and budgets.
To support the Artistic Director and Executive Producer in identifying, availability checking, negotiating with, and contracting members of creative teams.
To liaise with directors and casting directors on the management of casting for productions.
Production Logistics

To work with the Production Manager to ensure that the theatre programme has the relevant supports.
To work with the Production Manager to oversee rehearsal, production and performance schedules for all Jermyn Street Theatre productions and projects.
Finance

To work with the Executive Producer, Executive Director, and Production Manager to monitor and authorise production spends.
To reconcile production budgets.
