SeaWorld Orlando is seeking experienced stilt performers to engage our guests to make their experiences more memorable. Stilt walkers should perform with animated stage presence and have solid movement and improvisational skills.
If qualified, an email invitation with additional audition details will be sent. This position requires immediate availability.
Requirements and Competencies
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have prior stilt walking experience
Must be personable and animated with a fun, outgoing personality
Must be able to openly accept performance feedback/critiques and adapt accordingly
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
Must be available to work a minimum of 2 full days (including 1 weekend date) with varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, as well as after hour rehearsals.
Must be able to safely operate stilts based on equipment requirements; weight must not exceed 190 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferred
Primary Responsibilities
Perform regularly in costume and stilts in assigned area according to show or set schedule
Assist character ambassadors with getting in and out of assigned costume
Execute backstage tasks as outlined in daily schedule
Assist Costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects as needed
Ensure adherence to safety and procedural directions that accompany this position
Perform other duties as assigned
