This position runs from October 24, 2022 and ends January 3,2023. Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the season. In order to be fully considered for this role, you must complete an application and attend one of the auditions below.


Audition Details:
Date: Monday, October 17
Times: 9:00am Check in with a 10:00am audition or 2:00pm check in with a 3:00pm audition
Date: Tuesday, October 18
Time: 2:00pm check in with a 3:00pm audition


Location: Nautilus Theater – SeaWorld Orlando – 7007 SeaWorld Drive
All Applicants will park in SeaWorld Gate 3 ambassador parking and will come through security gate 3.


Audition Requirements:
Please bring a headshot and resume
Sign in begins one hour prior to call time, please do not arrive prior to one hour to your scheduled time as you will not be allowed on property.

Prepare for Audition:
Please prepare 16-32 bars of a family friendly pop or gospel song that shows your range, energy, and personality.
Also be prepared to perform a short movement combination.


What you get to do:
SeaWorld Orlando is looking for singers who move well as well as dancers to perform in the upcoming O Wondrous Night Christmas Celebration Show at Nautilus Theatre.

Seasonal roles will be filled as part of our Christmas Celebration and our daily operation.

Dates for the show are November 11-13, November 18-27, December 2-4, & December 9-January 3.


Perform regularly in costume in assigned area adhering to set and/or show schedule
Openly accept performance feedback and critique, and adapt accordingly to maintain a high standard of performance
Provide solution-based ideas to solve problems
Support the team’s daily activities
Execute backstage tasks as outlined in daily schedule
Assist Costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects as needed
Ensure adherence to safety and procedural directions that accompany this position
Performance may include standing, walking or other strenuous physical activity.
Perform other duties as assigned


What it takes to succeed

Personable and animated with a fun, outgoing personality
Ability to openly accept performance feedback/critiques and adapt accordingly
Ability to work in indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions and temperature while performing in costume
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
Availability to work varying shifts and hours based on business needs; available to work opening, mid, closing, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as after hour rehearsals
Ability to move and dance in full costume at a standard consistent with creative intent
Willingness to participate in regular internal performance assessments
Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
Perform the following physical activities, kneeling, bending, squatting, jumping, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes. Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals


What else is important:
Previous costume character and/or dance experience preferred
Previous guest experience in a high-volume capacity preferred
At least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent required
