ARTCENA and SPRING, the international festival of new forms of circus in Normandy, organised by the Platform for the two pillars of circus in Normandy: La Brèche in Cherbourg and Le Cirque-Théâtre d'Elbeuf, are once again joining forces to organise a presentation of circus projects on Thursday 6 March 2025 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at the cinema Le Café des Images in Hérouville Saint Clair. Applications can be submitted until 2 December 2024.
The aim of these presentations is to help companies find partners for residencies, co-productions, etc., so that they can complete the production of their creation and gain more visibility.
This call for applications is exclusively intended for:
professional companies within the contemporary circus, both from France and internationally;
projects with a long playing time: longer than 50 minutes;
performances premiering between September 2026 and December 2027.
Special attention is given to emerging companies and collectives. The call is not aimed at a specific discipline or presentation context, but welcomes the diversity of forms and aesthetics of today.
The artistic director of the project must be present at Cinema Le Café des Images on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm .
In case of a successful application:
The group will be given 10 minutes to speak and can use a PowerPoint presentation to present their project to the professionals and programmers present;
Enjoy the visibility of the creation project on the ARTCENA project agenda.
Deadline for submission: December 2, 2024.
A maximum of 10 projects will be selected. Projects presented in 2024 in the context of the ARTCENA project presentations will not be given priority.
The applications will be assessed by the SPRING team and the selection will be announced around February 6, 2025.
