Description:Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard) are recruiting for skilled & experienced “reading” Musicians to work in our Dance/ Function Band or House Orchestras as part of our onboard team. Our Musicians deliver a varied entertainment line-up whilst sailing around the world! Many of today’s top UK musicians started with a career at sea. Could you be next?We are currently looking for: Piano/Keyboard players (including M.D’s for Cunard) Bass Guitarists Electric Guitarists Tenor Saxophonists - doubling on Alto Sax, Clarinet & Flute Trumpeters Trombonists Drummers Male & Female Vocalists (Cunard Only - both contemporary & Big Band/Swing styles) Skills/ Experience Required: We are seeking Musicians with a Musical Performance degree (must have minimum Grade 8 Royal College of Music certification) and/or equivalent relevant industry experience. As a member of a Dance/Function Band or Theatre Orchestra, you’d be expected to be an excellent sight-reader, able to improvise, have an extensive knowledge of musical styles and be able to demonstrate relevant professional experience. It would also be an advantage to be familiar with the use of digital sheet music technology and software. Application Process: Apply online.
